Scientific name: Canthophorus impressus Horvath, 1880
Common name: -
Description: This individual looks a little worse for wear, but at nearly 200 years old really isn't doing too badly! The label shows us that it was caught in Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, where Jenyns lived for nearly 30 years. He also became vicar there in 1827. This species is listed under a different name in Jenyns' notebook as its taxonomy has since been updated. Aside from the species name, the notebook entry lists no other information.
