We are recruiting!
We are inviting applications for the post of Museum Assistant, supporting two of the Museum's key functions: Assisting with the care of our collections, and ensuring our visitors gain the best possible experience of their visit to the museum.
On Sundays the post-holder will be working with the Visitor Services and Operations Team, providing Front-of-House support and working with the Visitor Engagement Volunteers. For the rest of the time, they will be working as part of the Collections Team on a range of collections care and management tasks. This will include assisting research visits and undertaking re-storage and documentation projects. They should have practical experience of collections management work and collection care, experience of supervising volunteers and must be committed to providing excellent customer-service, with a proven ability to enthuse, motivate and inform people of all ages and backgrounds, including other staff, volunteers, visitors and external stakeholders.
It is an exciting and varied opportunity offering a broad range of experience across a significant, award-winning natural history museum.
