This field enables you to search for a specimen, or group of specimens, by scientific name(s) (i.e. order, family, genus, species).

The search will include all current scientific names used in the catalogues but in many cases generic and specific names previously associated with the specimens can also be used in the search. 

Please note that taxonomy is ever changing and specimens may be referred to by older taxonomic identifications.
