Notes from Jenyns: Common thro’ out the County on heaths, & open meadows.

200-year trend in Cambridgeshire: Decline.

Modern records

This species is still common in Cambridgeshire, but it has undergone a decline and is now more localised in its distribution. Many colonies have been lost due to agricultural intensification removing their unimproved grassland habitat.
