Goliath Beetles are among the largest insects in the world. They are also very strong, being able to lift a load around 850 times heavier than their own weight. Adults possess a large pair of wings under their striking, patterned wing-cases, which they disperse to find mates or food - usually plant sap or fruit. Their larvae are large and grub-like and live in the soil. Adult male Goliath Beetles have a Y-shaped horn on their head, which they use for fighting.
