New museum website

If you’ve visited the site before you may notice our fresh look, and a structure that we hope will be easier to navigate.

We also plan to update the information here a bit more regularly from now on, with the help of our new Events and Outreach Officer, Roz Wade.

AHRC Core Funding

In June 2005, the Museum was pleased to receive confirmation of funding by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). The grant, which contributes to the core running costs of the Museum, has been awarded to the Museum for the first time.

Although the effects of the funding won’t immediately be visible, like the outcomes from the Designation Challenge Fund scheme, it will go a long way towards improving care and management of the collections, and safeguarding essential developments within the museum.
