Admission to the museum is free

School groups are welcome. Please see our information on educational visits.

Opening times

We are open Monday – Friday, 10.00 – 16.45, and Saturday 11.00 – 16.00. Special opening times may apply for particular events.

We will be closing at 16:00 on Wednesday February 15 to prepare for the Twilight event starting at 16:30. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Very occasionally, the Museum is closed due to teaching or exams. Please contact us for details.

How to find us

We are situated in central Cambridge, on the University’s New Museums Site. There is more information on travel and parking.

Enter through the archway on Downing Street, opposite Tennis Court Road. You will notice the Finback Whale skeleton hung above the entrance.
